“È violenza contro le donne ogni atto di violenza fondata sul genere che provochi un danno o una
sofferenza fisica, sessuale o psicologica per le donne, incluse le minacce, la coercizione o la
privazione arbitraria della libertà”.

Così recita l’articolo 1 della dichiarazione ONU sul tema.

Le cronache di tutti i giorni purtroppo ci raccontano che siamo ancora lontani dal risolvere il
problema e a farne le spese sono anche le donne con disabilità.

Proprio a loro è dedicata la
personale di pittura di Silvia Salvadori intitolata “Io sono una, io sono tutte. Mai più ai
margini”, organizzata alla Casa dell’Energia di Arezzo dalla UICI.

Una mostra inclusiva come
dovrebbe essere sempre, accessibile a tutti, che coinvolge un’artista tra le più sensibili e
apprezzate nel panorama toscano.

Da anni nota per l’utilizzo delle tecniche pittoriche tramandate da Cennino Cennini nel
suo “Libro dell’arte” di inizio Quattrocento, che le consentono di dare vita a lavori ispirati
all’arte medievale, gotica e rinascimentale, Silvia Salvadori sta da tempo rinnovando il suo
linguaggio con l’introduzione di elementi che rimandano anche alle avanguardie del
Novecento.

La mostra è così l’occasione per far luce sulla recente produzione e presentare
dieci opere accomunate dal desiderio di indagare l’universo femminile in tutte le sue
complesse sfaccettature.

Il mito viene affrontato con la magnetica “Minerva”, protettrice delle arti e simbolo di
sapienza, le enigmatiche “Sirene”, che risvegliano sentimenti di libertà e seduzione, e la
maestosa “Energia”, sorta di Mater Matuta generatrice di vita, che attraverso la luce sconfigge
le tenebre.

Sono presenti gli omaggi all’arte del passato come in “Una finestra sul tempo”, che rimanda alle
ieratiche figure pierfrancescane, “Fiat Lux”, che inserisce un’iconografia botticelliana in un
paesaggio che vira verso l’astrazione, e “Italia (Omaggio a Gino Severini)”, che fonde elementi
in stile rinascimentale a echi futuristi.

La religione è affrontata in “Il viaggio della Maddalena”, una storia di redenzione che diventa
riscatto per l’umanità intera, mentre in “Akoya” l’Italia e il Giappone si incontrano per un
risultato di raro effetto.

“Marilyn Monroe”, tributo a un’icona del cinema, è il pretesto per
denunciare l’ipocrisia che si cela dietro alle maschere che il pianeta femminile è obbligato a
indossare, in cui i sorrisi possono nascondere il dolore.

Nell’opera Il Cuore delle Donne,
infine, l’artista invita a nutrire l’anima con la potenza della visione, del suono e della parola.
“Io sono una, io sono tutte. Mai più ai margini” è una mostra che emoziona, fa riflettere e dà il
via a un percorso virtuoso nel segno dell’arte che ha come fine un nuovo modo di pensare, in
cui le discriminazioni e la violenza di genere sono relegate a un mondo lontano del quale
nessuno potrà mai sentire la nostalgia.

“Violence against women is any act of gender-based violence that causes physical, sexual, psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of freedom”.

So the Article 1 of the UN declaration reads as follow on the subject.

Unfortunately, daily news tell us that we are still far from solving the problem and women with disabilities are also at the expense.

Silvia Salvadori's personal painting entitled “I am one, I am all. Never again on the fringes. " is dedicated to such women. It’s part of an exhibition organized at the Energy House of Arezzo by the UICI.

An inclusive exhibition as it should always be, accessible to all, involving one of the most sensitive and appreciated artists in the Tuscan landscape.

Known for several years for the use of the pictorial techniques handed down by Cennino Cennini in his "Book of the art" of the early fifteenth century, which allow her to give life to works inspired by medieval, gothic and Renaissance art, Silvia Salvadori has been renovating for some time her language with the introduction of elements that also refer to the twentieth century’s avant-garde.

The exhibition is, thus, an opportunity to shed light on the recent production ad well as to show ten works united by the desire to investigate the female universe in all of its complex aspects.

The myth is faced with the charming "Minerva", protector of the arts and symbol of wisdom,then we have the enigmatic "Sirens" stiring feelings of freedom and seduction, and finally the majestic "Energy", a sort of Mater Matuta that generates life, which through light defeats darkness.

There are also tributes to the art of the past as in "A window on time", which refers to the hieratic Pierfranciscan figures, "Fiat Lux", which inserts a Botticellian iconography in a landscape that goes  towards abstraction, and "Italy” ( tribute to Gino Severini), which blends Renaissance-style elements with futurist echoes.

Religion is addressed in "The Magdalene's Journey", a story of redemption that becomes liberation for the whole humankind; while in "Akoya" Italy and Japan meet for a result of rare effect.

"Marilyn Monroe", a tribute to a film icon, is the pretext for denouncing the hypocrisy behind the masks that the female planet is forced to wear, where smiles can hide pain.

Finally, in the work entitled "The heart of women", the artist invites people to nourish the soul with the power of vision, sound and word.

‘I am one, I am all. Never again on the fringes’ is an exhibition that touches your heart, makes you think and starts a virtuous path in the name of art that has its goal in a new way of thinking, in which discrimination and gender-based violence are relegated to a distant world towards which no one will ever feel nostalgia for.
